While working on these tracks, I’ve been reading Rick Rubin’s “The Creative Act”, which keeps reminding me that music isn’t just sound, it’s energy. In a graspable sense, you’ve likely felt a deep sense of relief when music really resonates with something you’ve been feeling, but struggled to encapsulate with words… or maybe even used music to change your mood or emotional state. Touching on the more abstract, you may have experienced your emotional state shaping your reality. Most of all, I want to offer music that adds beauty to the world; physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s also a reminder that even as artists, music isn’t something we are responsible for, as much as it is something we can participate in. Sometimes, when ideas are ready to come through, they often arrive through the path of least resistance.

Seven Sisters, was originally meant to be a dance track, but once I’d written the chords and bass, I didn’t want anything to distract from it. It felt like it didn’t want to be any more energetic than it already was. Named after the pleiades constellation, it’s an ode to the things in life that are most beautiful when you don’t try to hold on, but allow them to be exactly as they are.

Phantasia almost didn’t make it into EP. It came from the bridge of a more danceable track I was working on, but I just wanted to listen to that part on loop. It felt all-encompassing. Leading up to release, it felt so naked and vulnerable, but the team at StereoFox and Platoon encouraged me to keep it. In hindsight, I’m so grateful they did. It’s resonated more with people listening than I thought it could, which is so profoundly beautiful.

Moirai is the centre piece, originally inspired by a beautiful woman I was blessed to connect with. Eyes and mind like pools of crystal clear water. Skin drenched in moonlight. Soft, and vibrantly alive. It was a connection that felt orchestrated, for all its serendipity. The name comes from three goddesses in Greek mythology, responsible for fate and destiny… seemingly beyond even the will of the Gods.

Lune is a gently triumphant piece, imbued with all the wonder and tenderness of being alive.

The EP as a whole is a sonic vessel for connection, introspection, and meaningful conversation.

Released on Stereofox - a collection of beautiful, soulful, easy listening music.
